1. Overview & General Policy
At The Darbhanga Table, we operate on a primary "WhatsApp-first" payment verification model where guests confirm orders and settle bills either at the host stand upon arrival or via secure direct UPI/payment links sent by our hosting staff. This policy outlines how cancellations, disputes, and potential refunds are handled.
2. Food Pre-Booking Cancellations
Because our dishes are prepared fresh with premium artisanal ingredients, kitchen assembly begins prior to your estimated arrival:
- Timely Cancellations: If you cancel your food pre-booking at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time via WhatsApp or phone call, any advanced deposit paid will be fully refunded within 3–5 business days.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made less than 2 hours before arrival, or unannounced no-shows, are not eligible for a refund, as the ingredients and kitchen labor have already been fully deployed.
3. Table Reservation Deposits
For large party bookings (8+ guests) or special holiday table reservations, our management may request a modest holding deposit:
- Deposit Adjustment: The full deposit amount is fully credited against your final dine-in food and beverage bill.
- Refund Eligibility: Table holding deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled at least 4 hours in advance.
4. Food Quality & Order Accuracy
We pride ourselves on culinary excellence. If a dish served at your table does not meet our strict quality standards, or if there is an error in your pre-booked order, please inform your table host immediately. Our management will gladly replace the dish immediately or deduct the item from your final bill.
5. Refund Processing Times
Approved refunds for advanced UPI/Card deposits are processed immediately by our accounts team. Depending on your banking institution or payment gateway, funds typically reflect back in your original account within 3 to 7 business days.
